al·ler·gen An allergen is any substance that creates a much higher than usual immune response for the immune system to ward off a perceived threat that would otherwise be harmless to the body. Common allergens include dust mite excretion, pollen, pet dander, grasses, dust, foods, mold, latex rubber, insect venom and some medications.
The air we breathe indoors has millions of various types of microscopic particulates (particles)floating through the air. Everything we breathe eventually falls to a surface ... some of the particles are relatively heavy in nature, and will settle on various surfaces quicker than others. The air you’re breathing today may not be the same as what you were breathing last month, last week, or even a few days ago.
Some of these particulates can cause adverse health issues that can be allergenic or toxic for you. The Allergen Screen Check is designed to provide detailed concentration levels of multiple pollutants that can be found on surfaces in your home or workplace by utilizing a revolutionary sample collection device called the Bio-Scan400.
The Allergen Screen Check is ideal for allergy sufferers, asthma patients, clean room evaluations etc.
You may want to consider this test if you suffer from:
- Coughing
- Sneezing
- Respiratory issues
- Headache
- Lethargy
- Fatigue
- Flu-like symptoms
- Tight chest
- Dizziness
- Eye irritation
Dust Mite Screen Check Directions:
This test will be sent with a Sample Collection Device for 1 surface sampling location used to collect your sample.
Everything you need to collect and send in your sample is included in the test kit you will receive.
Environmental Diagnostics Laboratory (EDLab) will provide you with a final report (included in the cost of the Allergen Screen Check). This report will show detailed information for each pollutant identified as measured in Counts/cm², and will have guidelines for what is considered to be a normal manageable level, as compared to total levels of each pollutant found on the Bio-Scan400.
Once EDLab receives your Bio-Scan400 for analysis, your lab report results will be generated and emailed to you in PDF format within 3-5 business days.
The Allergen Screen Check identifies and provides concentration levels for mold, pollen, dust mites (intact), skin cells, insect parts and fibers such as fiberglass, etc. These are the same test samples collected by expensive professionals.
Everything you need to collect your sample and send it for analysis is included. There are no additional fees required after test purchase.
This is a safe, easy test to identify allergens in your home.
